Singapore a "FOOD PARADISE"??? MY FOOT

ppl always say or maybe only those who wan to promote singapore? say that singapore is a food paradise. MY FOOT. so many of the hawkers are degrading standard of the recipe for the many nice food.

Chicken Rice
do u notice they always slam the chicken wif the chopper ?that is to make the amount of meat look more. and they may say that it is to make the chicken tender. MY FOOT.
cucumber?2-3 slice.joke.
price? keep going up but quality n proportion remains or decrease.dun tell me about inflation bla bla bla...inflation up 3 % their price up 20%

Century egg porridge
did u all notice that last time their century egg was cut into slice, and can c that it was 1 whole egg?
now??? they chop it into smaller pieces and the amount = 1/4 of an egg.
price??? keep going up , but proportion is jokingly down.

seriously there are alots of these hawker that keep standard so low but price keep increasing. they can say that cost increase.tok cock.they r using this excuse to increase the price n earn more. the price increase is DEFINITELY more than enough to cover the cost increase and they r earning alot more.

i m posting here bcos i cant stand it anymore. anyway i rarely patronize these kind of hawker.

i'm not saying all of hawkers here in sg is like that. but it is definitely more than 3/4.

they jsut wan to earn money, they have no passion for food. they dun really care if their food is good or bad.

Hope more ppl will stop buying from these kind of people if u spotted them.
only this way the quality will increase and make singapore a food paradise .

Quite true. The worst case is when they serve chicken back chicken wings, thighs, breasts all ok but chicken back have little meat and sometime smells :(

All prices have gone up, not only hawker's. The root cause is rental.

Best is to pack your own lunch & eat healthy when in Spore.

Then go to Malaysia to binge on cheap food. First time I tried the prata in JB I was shocked by the quantity & quality Malaysia Boleh

In KL there is alot more variety than Spore. Outlets like Polaris are struggling against the competition There are better curry puffs in Malaysia.
