Singapore’s homegrown farming dream is beginning to fade

Assuming that homegrown farming takes off, will the average Sinkie pay $5 for a 120g pack of fresh chye sim? or $10 for a 500g pack of tomatoes? $8 for a 500g pack of potatoes?

Everything's so fcuking expensive in Sinkieland - from rents to manpower costs to electricity and water supplies.

The president, prime ministar and ministars don't have to worry about getting the freshest produce that are pesticide-free.

As I have divulged in the past, Sinkie state-owned airline flies in fresh produce and alcoholic beverages from all over the world at least once a week.

The fresh produce is ostensibly to be used in state banquets at which the president or the prime ministar hosts foreign heads of states and governments.

The Istana always orders large quantities of fresh produce in bulk and after accounting for the portion to be reserved for state banquets, distributes the rest to the households of the prime ministar, his deputy and the ministars.

In short the political elite and their families always eat food that is pesticide-free.

Middle-class and low-income Sinkies will have to make do with produce imported from Ah Tiong land, Ah Neh land, Bolehland etc. Such produce may not be free of pesticides.
