I can't understand the logic of being grateful and professing undying loyalty to the incumbent because of the last 50 yrs!
It is not like they are paid peanuts to serve the people. They are paid more than they would have in the private sector!! Don't get fooled by the 2/3 calculation. They get pensions till they die! Which private sector CEO gets that? Pensions by the way are not their own money unlike our CPF.
TT Durai paid himself a high salary from the money the public donated. Yes, some kidney patients benefitted. But does it mean he should be allowed to get away with it when he makes mistakes?
Now, the ministers who pay themselves more than the private sector, should let them get away with mistakes?
If you buy a plate of Char Kway Teow at $4 and the hawker forgets the sausage, black sauce, cockles, egg, and serves you plain Kway teow, would you be grateful and buy again and again?
Now if the Kway teow was sold at 30 cents, maybe I would be grateful to the char Kway teow man for filling my stomach at a loss!
Just look at their salaries!!! This is excluding the bonuses, CPF and pensions!!!
