Haha, yeah, if aliens or some crazy virus knock out our phones, you'll definitely be glad you’ve got something else to fall back on. Honestly, having a pair of two way radios for sale lying around isn't the worst idea, especially if aliens decide to knock out our phones. I mean, even without the whole sci-fi scenario, they’re handy when you’re out in the middle of nowhere or during an emergency.
