Now that supermarkets are encouraging self checkout my uncle believe there are leeches out there tooNot say my uncle want to encourage shop lifting - but if you leelee want my uncle leecomendation is just take it I.e not take and rush off or take fast keep fast etc all these little movements are the killers.
Just take the item as though you are buying it and later walk off the shop .as simple as that. My uncle did that when the shop keepers just leefuse to collect money from him
Leefusal to collect means either they too busy or bochap .
In fact there is 1 kind of even more bold in disguised method - you can take 1 item and ask the keepers some questions etc got this size this colour etc then leeturn to the shelf end up like you doesn't know which to buy and end of the day you go pay up to the keeper 1 item and leaving the shop with another without paying and the keeper won't know becas they will never think of it KNNNot say my uncle want to encourage shop lifting - but if you leelee want my uncle leecomendation is just take it I.e not take and rush off or take fast keep fast etc all these little movements are the killers.

You are right that those happened during the olden days.Dear Sweetiepie, your Uncle's ideas may had worked decades ago, but for sure, NOT today. It is a modern tech enhanced era we lived in now, or at least in Singapore. With the plethora of surveillance tech such as CCTV cameras & even sensors that sound the alarm when you walk out of a shop with an object tagged, how far can you run?
Just as the criminal minds will evolved, so too will the SECURITY minds evolved equally, if not more, as tech had not advanced just on surveillance cameras or sensors or even facial recognition alone, but FAR MORE than is revealed to the public. Ultimately, Crime DOES NOT pay. It is only a matter of time & priority depending on the severity of crime to society, will a criminal be found.
My plea to all is live an honest life. It is not easy for those whom may had little opportunities in life, but may each citizen realize - we in Singapore had been given the best opportunities in life to progress & prosper as sworn by all since 6 yrs old by our sacred National Pledge, from the womb thru taxpayers grants for childbirth to the last breath at a hospice or hospital or home.
Most of us failed to grasp such opportunities offered by taxpayers, distracted by temptations & lies, but still is our own choices we foolishly made & is only our fault made thru clouded judgements we perceived by ourselves instead of common sense & education taught while young, thus there is no need to take it out from others, to rob, to steal, to cheat or harm & hurt innocent others, to rise or enrich oneself at the expense of innocent others..
Crime WILL NOT pay. Even if one can escape Humanity's long arm of justice, of civilized & equal laws for all, there is still Divine retribution which is real - just ask any convict sitting in high security prisons for life or in an armchair alone at home, aged & racked with diseases & haunted deep mental anguishes....

I ever saw an elderly woman steal a watermelon at NTUC in Toa Payoh before. She took the watermelon, put in her shopping bag and just walked out calmly. In fact even today at Fairprice xtra there are still many shoplifters.
My uncle purchased BP monitor and they are all locked up in the glass display. The staff told my uncle if they put outside it always lost and they need to do many leeporting and inventorlee procedure so now they lock it up. My uncle suspect maybe is insider job ?
My uncle would leecomend her to pick up mobile phone and talk with 1 hand while the other hand holding to the water melon and walk out franticallee. Sometimes we would forget about the item if the call is important . Putting into bag is a big no no.I ever saw an elderly woman steal a watermelon at NTUC in Toa Payoh before. Actually, the NTUC pinoy employee in that small NTUC also saw the shoplifting. When the elderly lady walked out with the water melon in her bag, I gestured to the Pinoy NTUC employee about it. He looked at me and gave me a resigned face and said to me she's the usual thief. I think he gave up too because there will be hell of of paper work, reports etc to do if he stopped her and report police. My uncle would leecomend her to pick up mobile phone and talk with 1 hand while the other hand holding to the water melon and walk out.
