3 wounded in shooting at Phoenix community college
PHOENIX - OFFICIALS say three people have been shot at a community college in Phoenix.
Fire department division chief Mr Mark Faulkner says a 25-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman wounded at South Mountain Community College are in critical condition, and a 17-year-old boy is in stable condition.
Mr Faulkner says the three were taken by firefighters to a county hospital.
The shooting happened around 4pm. No information on the shooter was immediately available.
Officials reached at the college did not immediately have any information on the shootings.
An electronic sign outside the school said classes were cancelled Thursday and students could be seen leaving the campus calmly.
Television footage showed police clustered outside one building.-- AP
