HEALTH Minister Khaw Boon Wan is not back at work yet, but he has blogged almost every day about his open heart surgery and road to recovery.
In the latest posting on Wednesday, he spoke of how he walked around Ward 56 - the National Heart Centre (NHC) at Singapore General Hospital - talking to numerous patients receiving treatment there.
'They were all in praise of our doctors and nurses,' he said. One patient even assured him he would be fine since Singapore has 'top-class' doctors.
Mr Khaw's previous blogs, which gave a blow-by-blow description of his experience, also praised various NHC doctors and nurses.
It was Associate Professor Koh Tian Hai and Sister Lim Suh Fen, assistant director of nursing at the centre, who persuaded him to go for an angiogram to assess the extent of the blockage.
At that time, the minister was in a state of denial and 'lived a reckless life', which saw him travelling and continuing regular exercise despite his condition.

the moment he lies down on hospital bed he is called "a patient" and all patients receive standard treatment.
ofcoz he could choose to be in a single-bedded aircon room all by himself attended to by the most senior Snr Staff Nurse n matron - all lao kok kok one.
no student nurse will attend to VVIP one - standard hospital protocol.
the rest of nursing care remains the same - professional standard nursing protocol mah.
now he can personally assess the healthcare team's performance indicators liao.

I had been to hospitals countless times but NEVER SEEN PATIENT IN RUNNING SHOES! You wear socks and running shoes to get out of bed in hospitals for what? Go running? Heart by-pass needs running?

WAYANG for reporters to take photos lah!

Because famiLEE LEEgime don't want peasants to see bear foot million dollar minister or slipper-man ministers, see?

Don't tell me Ah Cow go run around to inspect SGH? My foot!

S$4-5K PER DAY on MC, Choo Boh Lan and blog-blog. Peasants still awaiting while suffering and facing death in SGH without beds, still unable to afford medical fees in his WORLD TOP CLASS HELL-CARE!

My aged parent got broken leg went A & E of SGH waited for hours here & there including awaiting for bed in ward.

In the ward finally have bed but awaited for days on waiting list for a surgery ops with broken bone in the bed.

Another Shit Times article that makes me laugh. That's about all its good for nowadays. Has this stupid reporter ever considered that if he is well enough to blog, he sure as hell is well enough to work? At least to read his emails, do some light work, etc. The patients he talked to on his walk about all say that they had high praise for their doctors? Is he kidding? Who would publicly say their doctor was a fuck up to the Minister of health? If they did that, their doctor would tekan them back. This dumb fuck receives the best medical care because of his money and position, and thinks that all other sinkies also received the same standard? What is a reckless life anyway? Is that cheonging in Geylang without a condom? What a clown.
