Friend at A&E NUH told me she came across at least one PMD fire-charging incident victim at least once 1-2 month when on duty.
I assume 1 case per month in NUH.
Multiple that across numbers of government hospitals, I safely assume that at least one PMD-charging fire per week in Singapore.
e-scooters speeding on expressways is nothing. We have even more cases of them injuring pedestrians or getting into accidents with motor vehicles and most of us have seen them breaking traffic rules.
I think the issue here is that our country refuse to ban PMDs because of our state investments in Grab and other delivery platforms. Paris overwhelming voted to pan PMDs
