[Sg video] - E-scooters speed by car on expressway! (April 2023)

plus e scooters can be used by kids so if cars are prohibited, everyone can use personal transport to school or work

This shows just how quick, efficient and not polluting PMDs are. Their adoption should be encouraged wherever possible. It's the best mode of transport for congested cities like Singapore.
:thumbsup::thumbsup: evolution of battery operated bicycle, same as battery operated screw drivers .... short trip riding....

Friend at A&E NUH told me she came across at least one PMD fire-charging incident victim at least once 1-2 month when on duty.

I assume 1 case per month in NUH.
Multiple that across numbers of government hospitals, I safely assume that at least one PMD-charging fire per week in Singapore.

e-scooters speeding on expressways is nothing. We have even more cases of them injuring pedestrians or getting into accidents with motor vehicles and most of us have seen them breaking traffic rules.

I think the issue here is that our country refuse to ban PMDs because of our state investments in Grab and other delivery platforms. Paris overwhelming voted to pan PMDs https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...ote-on-banning-e-scooters-from-french-capital New York also bans them due to battery fires https://cities-today.com/new-york-announces-rules-to-curb-e-bike-and-e-scooter-fires/

The number of deaths caused by cars far exceeds any PMD related injuries. If everyone used PMDs the roads would be so much safer.

but the battery fires are really a hazard, fire extinguishers can't fight battery fires.
unless someone is handicapped, they should consider bicycles.

This is fine, he's fast and he's in lane 1.
