now she has 600+ orders from mosques and nursing homes. hats off this kind lady
Now that she has 600+ orders, she may need to apply for a licence. The current home based thing is meant to be for small orders only

Listen here, you little shit!

She's still getting a 30cts profit per pkt.. Not too bad!

Looks like nasi kangkang. Maybe she's doing black magic.

She looks young, but the biz acumen is strong in her, perhaps out of an uncommon kind heart as she only hardworkingly prepares the simple. cheap but healthy meal to those in need-mosques & nursing home, along with maximizing resources within her reach - her home & is totally legal to do so with changes by HDB thru the elected govt to offer opportunities to every citizen, to leave none behind.

With the biz responses being over whelming, may she take some time off & reflect on how she can better MANAGE the blossoming biz, as well as prepare for competition to come, with the news of her original concept, hardwork & kind heartedness to serve the community, which many will seek to copy, but she does had a head-start, & would need to think how to capitalize on it as there will be others whom would not have the heart as she had, & would be able to take the biz away from her, as capitalism is an opportunity for all, sadly even the craven till customers realized realities - cutting corners, cheaper but poor quality resources, etc, scams, etc, as many had found out too late, akin to products from well known poor quality countries.

The insignificant nobody me wishes her all the best, and may she build upon what she had learnt to progress, & to others too whom are willing to serve our community honestly to earn an honest living.

That’s more than $5,000 a month better than I sell screws. Bloody hell I’m screwed.
Froggy, you are so humble.
Simply based on the photos of your meals and drinks, as well as your residence, I believe that you are doing very well, financially successful from your screw business and sales.
Keep it up.
Wish you many happy, healthy, Blessed years.

Has PAP relaxed the laws of running f&b businesses at home?

I always thought it's not allowed because they scared people laosai

Home-Based Business Scheme

Advisory for home businesses

Please observe the Safe Management Measures, such as the number of visitors entering a flat and the use of SafeEntry or TraceTogether App for contact tracing, as shown in the advisories on the Ministry of Health's website.

You may carry out small-scale home-based business activities to supplement your income, without requiring approval from HDB.
Your flat must still primarily be used for residential purposes, and business activities must not cause disamenities to your neighbours. Otherwise, you must cease operations or relocate to other premises, such as commercial units.

Conditions of Use

  1. The business must be operated by owners, registered occupants, or tenants of the flat (with consent from the flat owners). Third parties and non-resident employees are not allowed to work in the flat.
  2. There must be no advertisements, signages or posters displayed at the flat.
  3. No extraneous traffic should be introduced to the site nor should there be any adverse impact to the neighbourhood and the living environment, such as, noise, smoke, smell, litter, effluent or dust nuisances or danger posed to surrounding residents.
  4. No use of heavy equipment or appliances that are not intended for domestic use.
  5. No large-scale storage or frequent loading and unloading of goods, especially for bulky items or use of the flat as a distribution centre.
  6. The activities must comply with the rules and regulations of other authorities (e.g. Singapore Food Agency, for food safety and hygiene, Fire Safety and Shelter Department, for fire safety requirements)

Examples of permitted home-based business activities:

  • Food business such as baking on a small scale
  • Hairdressing, facial and beauty (excluding massage), manicure, or pedicure services
  • Private tuition for not more than three students at a time
  • Sewing services
  • Work as a freelance artist, journalist, photographer or writer
Note: Massage services are not allowed in residential premises.
