I've worked with many Malaysian Chinese before and they are truly people who love politiking in the workplace. Typical behaviour include going all out to suck up to superiors, back stabbing coworkers at the same level (despite even being lunch kakis and seemingly close) and bullying those under them. Many Singaporeans have the false impression that jhk are humble, naive, easy going just because they come from a poorer country. These are usually people who have never worked with one. JHKs have way more tricks up their sleeves than naive Singaporeans who grew up in sheltered environments. They are people who go all out to defend their ricebowl unlike sheltered Singaporeans. Wait till you work in accountancy where there are plenty of jhk. They're the most toxic people to work with, arguably worse to work with than prcs.

share with y'all a funny story:
I worked with a bunch of jiuhus who ganged up and were downright mean to me and but when I got promoted to their HOD and got to do their appraisals and decide their pay raises/bonuses, suddenly 360 change and go all out to por me, everyday help me dabao food, super attentive to my needs, make me handmade gifts for bday etc. That's how 2 faced they can be. If I didn't know them earlier, and went in straight as their HOD, I wouldn't have known/imagined what their true characters were like.

jiuhubus are notorious for showing up in any house party with bags of empty food containers to tabao leftover food home. worse are those who tabao before meals are served.

A workplace full of mudlander or filipino is the worst. Mudlander is worse than filipino.
They should self resign even not being retrench if they have some back bone.

Becos I find those infested with chinese mudlander are worse than infested with ceca.

Is not nice to work in a ceca infested place, but ceca have their own culture and the effect it has is lower than mudland Chinese infested place. Becos of the same Chinese culture yet different nation. When they form their gang there with minority of sinkies, the sinkies will suffer in silence.
I wouldn't want to put myself in this kind of place even I need a job badly.

What I had observed over the years.
When the sinkie is too smart (like me) they are very worry of me taking over them. When you are too stupid and a under perforner (like some of my gcb sinkie colleague) they will whack them till jialat aka bully.

This is call the Bumi mentality. They are treated as minorities in their home country (pity them somewhat, but no free lunch since you can earn sgd and buy assets in myr, and many do find ways to siam NS when they apply for citizenship), hence they like to bring the victim mentality over and be toxic. As friends they are fine, but as colleagues, this "i am a victim and I must protect my ricebowl" mentality takes over.

Many of these people that I knew are very poor back in their own country .. they got loans to study private university get a degree & come to Sinkieland to earn money

Backstabbing is their culture to protect their rice bowls as many of them are incompetent too
