No it's not a "siaolang" - he just happened to take the delivery order for a gangster involved in vice activities.
So, PayNow cannot - because he cannot give his real mobile number.
And, no digital money trails leading to his account - as per instructions from the guy's boss.
These gangsters involved in vice activities deal with "cash only" - they cannot, and do not leave any money trails at all.
Even the cars they drive have illegal plates, and they park illegally to avoid going past EPS gantries which have a time in / time out digital trail of their whereabouts.
Condolences to the innocent victim's family & loved ones, & may he thru our taxpayers funded hospital & heathcare services help for a speedy recovery in this senseless attempted murder.
Thanks for that post from Comage.
The insignificant nobody me would agree with his/her logical deductive comments & a point worthy of consideration by all, especially those whom are in the honest & necessary trade of delivery service.
Singapore is a Rule of Law Nation. There is NO requirement that one needs to pay in cash or thru digital means, thus BOTH means are acceptable.
However, may a memo be sent by companies in delivery services to its staff that should a customer demands AGGRESSIVELY to pay in cash, then let the customer to do so, accept the money BUT then TAKE NOTE of the customer's address, phone numbers, personal description, report & file it into company's servers, to save one's & many more others lives.
Paying in cash, more so AGGRESIVELY than beyond normality of perhaps a peaceful innocent whom prefers to deal with cash, is often a sign & symptom to hide something more sinister behind, beyond tech savviness or ignorance & WILL be an innocent market research data on market acceptance of digital payments, & as well as for an intelligence security unit's resource to mine for.
Nothing will be taken for granted, every bit of effort counts, & no stone will be left unturned, in our COLLECTIVE fight against crime....
