SINGAPORE: A former video surveillance officer with Marina Bay Sands was charged on Wednesday with 33 counts of cheating the resort's casino of nearly S$150,000.
Ho Boon Keat, 28, allegedly committed the offences between July and August this year.
The stocky man allegedly deceived the pit managers at the "Sic Bo" tables into believing his four accomplices had placed winning bets on 33 separate occasions. This resulted in the casino making payouts of about S$4,500 to an accomplice each time.
"Sic Bo" involves the spinning of three dice and players bet on the outcome of the roll.
Ho will be back in court on September 6. If convicted, he can be jailed up to 10 years and fined for each charge.
