linguistic programming may have hardwired them to move in this way. People who speak and write in languages that process time in linear fashion, as reflected in the use of tenses, would tend to perceive reality as a series of causative effects. English for instance has an in built linear logic, as do all Germanic languages. Do Dravidian languages have tenses?
