Hi my dear bros and sis:

Setting a malaysian company needs 2 malaysians? Am i right to say so?

Me, a stupidporean plus another malaysian, can we register a company?

Someone told me, I need to be a PR of malaysia then can consider as 2 malaysian.

Another told me, as long i can give malaysia address, we can both consider as malaysian.

So, please advise me.

Thank you.

Where to find Malaysian PR? From merdeka in 1957 hitherto, I only know of two foreigners conferred Malaysian PR - Han Jian from PRC - badminton world champion and coached Malaysian team to beat PRC team to win Thomas Cup. The other was a woman marathon runner or walker, also PRC (can't recall her name). Their PR status was specially granted by royal ascent. There's no PR system in Malaysian. Either you're citizen or you're foreigner. There's work permit system though. (Incidentally, Han2 Jian4 韩建 became pronounced as Han4 Jian1 汉奸 back in PRC.)

sure?

I have friends who are PRs. They bought property which worth RM250K, they are eligible.

I will check again.

Thanks

Yes, check again. My info gotten in 2003. During Badawi premiership (2004-08), there might have been some changes that I'm unaware of.

Just received new info from a friend. Can apply for Malaysian "PR" with RM300k fixed deposit for first year and maintain RM60k in subsequent years. It's a 10-year visa. But do check again for any update in criteria.

Get a corporate sec company that provide Bumi directors. You can be proxy holders of their shares.
You have Msian Ministry contracts ah? if not, not nescessary to have a pure Msian company. You can open a "foreign" company in Msia.

Being a PR in malaysia or other land rather than sinkieland is always a blessing. Good luck to you TS. Maybe you have joy and blessing in your new land.

Thailand also can, and even better. There's annual renewable retirement visa for age 50 and above. I think it's about S$30k+/- deposit to qualify. Do check for any update. (Annual renewable means every year have to submit prove that one still have the requisite amount on deposit. Otherwise, it's as good as unlimited multiple entry visa).
