SINGAPOREANS can experience what it feels like to be in a Myanmarese prison cell during this year's M1 Singapore Fringe Festival, which opens tomorrow.

As part of its Fringe Gallery visual-arts component, the annual festival - spearheaded by The Necessary Stage, and going into its sixth edition with the theme of Art & The Law - will premiere a new installation by Myanmarese artist Htein Lin which will evoke the loose brick walls of jails in Myanmar.
