Apparently Econ homes has been sold to Prcians..who own major share...( can anyone check?????)
They use to run the nursing home in several locations one under th eoverhead flyover in an old disused school at 7,ms Bukit Timah ( really deplorable condition) and also has an operation in Lim Chu Kang and another in Buangkok area .
Recently the ex- CEO of NUH joined Econ.
SO was Khaw getting Econ ready as well as us ready to put our parent s in JB???????

The IRONY is the majority of S'poreans including the opposition parties SUPPORT the NS concept; a defence strategy against the 'enemy' from the NORTH.

Yet at the same time, oldies are supposed to be go to 'enemy' territory for their final years.

The 'enemy' of the NORTH has caused the PAP to spend billions of $$$ in peace time and a whooping huge chunk of the budget (6%?) even in a recession.

Slashing half of that defence budget and rechannelling it to provide cheaper low costs govt retirement homes would keep Singapore $$$ in Singapore. Why let old S'poreans spend their remaining $$$ to make JB rich?
