i thought lau lee wants everyone ( and insists) to speaketh MANDARIN. when comes GE, all dialects hell break loose!! teochew, cantonese, hokkien....all hantam! why like that? obviously, the paps are now at the mercies of the voters. but once GE's over and... their position stablises for another 5 yrs....it would time for ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE FOR THE PAPs :( voters would be screwed again for another 5 yrs. so predictable. happens every GEs before....and shall deja vu in GE now :(( this is singapore....and these are the singaporean's mentality. Which is a big lie.

I have many pro PAP friends who visit on a regular basis. They're far too intellectual to enter into a debate with PAP characters who are unable to put a point across without launching into a tirade of profanities.

Debate is not about who swears the most or the loudest. It's about presenting a clear and concise argument in support of your cause. Large fonts and a torrent of "up yours", "fuck you pappy dog" expletives just shows how incapable most opposition supporters are of presenting their case.

why are dialects allowed to be used during GE and even telecast? isn't SPEAK MANDARIN a mandate the paps should be adhering to?

if that's the case, then PLEASE GIVE US BACK THE PURE ENJOYMENT OF DIALECT SERIALS FR HK AND TAIWAN.
