SINGAPORE : Singapore's island resort Sentosa has won seven awards at the prestigious Pinnacle Awards.

The annual event honours outstanding festivals, events and promotions around the world.

Sentosa won three golds, with its event Sentosa Flowers 2008 bagging a double for Best Event Website and Best Newspaper Supplement.

Sentosa Flowers is an annual floral and botanical extravaganza organised in conjunction with its Lunar New Year activities.

Its third gold for Best Children's Programming was for its Palawan Beach Boogie 2007 with children's musical group Hi-5.

Sentosa also won two silver and two bronze awards.

The Pinnacle Awards is organised by the International Festival and Events Association. - CNA/ms
