JOHOR BARU - A senior police officer who allegedly had an affair with his subordinate's wife has been transferred out of the Johor police headquarters.
According to sources, the officer with the rank of Assistant Commissioner was transferred while waiting for disciplinary action against him from Bukit Aman.
Johor deputy police chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ismail Yatim confirmed the case but he declined to elaborate further as investigations were ongoing.
The Star reported on Oct 16 that a 33-year-old constable had lodged a police report in Malacca against his superior for having an affair with his wife.
Apparently, the constable had trailed his wife on Oct 13 to a resort in Ayer Keroh where she admitted to meeting the senior officer but she denied sleeping with him.
The constable had previously lodged a report in Johor Baru several months ago against the same officer regarding the same problem.
