Going to the hospital is finding peace of mind or getting serious illnesses treated and we always hope to find the best service staff.
However, Facebook user Vicky Xiaoshuang said that her husband who nearly lost his arm was delayed at Seng Kang Hospital and a nurse even allegedly gave a rude remark:
Here is the what she said:
UPDATE: My husband went to TTSH today (03 Jun 2022) at 1200am and after short 6hrs he already in the ward. Doctor there have done all the necessary testing within that 6hr and had arranged emergency surgery. If we had continue stay at Sengkang, I think my husband arm gone case alr. No ward nvm, at least let the test/scan running, not leave patient hanging for so long..*If can give 0 star i cfm will, service and management was so much worst right now than back in year 2019 when I was warded. What happen to this newly built hospital? Just 3years and the difference is HUMONGOUS. *
On the 1st June 2022 1030pm, I brought my husband to Sengkang General Hospital A&E due to suspected ligament tear on his shoulder which has been causing sharp pain for few days as well as high fever out of no where for days already.
Everything was smooth sailing at the start, ART test then waited roughly 2.5hr before a doctor attend to us (Nurse and doctor at that particular time were all very efficient, asking very detailed questions about what happen to my husband arm). An Xray and blood test was arranged and then after that it was a waiting game. Doctor mentioned need to be warded as blood infection rate is very high and they still dk the cause of all these however admission staff say all wards are FULL at roughly 4am – 5am and we had to wait till 11am where patients starts to discharge and maybe then my husband can get warded. We had no choice but to rest at the observation room.
We went for breakfast at 7am, came back the observation ward and my husband was instructed to start fasting (probably cause they are gonna run some scan/test). After nearly 13hrs of painful wait, the specialist finally came and check my husband. After checking (at about 1130am, 13hrs after we step foot at the A&E), we still have to wait again for the ward to be avail. At about 130pm – 2pm, a nurse shifted my husband to a bed at the observation room. I left at 4pm.
5pm my husband ask for pain killers, 2.5 hrs later still not given.
6pm, took my husband blood for test again, poked so many times (same for the other patient opp my husband, also had to poked all his four limbs before they managed to draw blood from him)
730pm, patient who arrived at A&E much later than my husband managed to be moved up to the ward first?? What nonsense.
