In a fit of rage, an off-duty security guard kicked the front door of a bus smashing its glass panel. Muhammad Haslam Said, 24, paid the price for his anger on Monday when a district court jailed him for a week.
Assistant Public Prosecutor Koh Huimin told a district court that the SMRT bus service number 853 was travelling on the extreme left lane of the road in front of Khatib MRT station, when Muhammad Haslam pulled out of the taxi stand after allowing his wife to alight.
To avoid a collision, bus driver Lai Nyok Lim, 51 sounded the horn. Muhammad Haslam then stopped his car and accused the bus of hitting his car.
