MALAYSIA - A timid security guard claimed he was bullied "like a schoolboy" by two of his superiors who alleged that he was sleeping on the job at a hospital in Johor Baru, Harian Metro and Kosmo! reported.
The guard, who only wished to be identified as Jalil, said he was told to stand on a chair and sing the Negaraku and Anak Kampung as punishment.
The papers published photographs of the Oct 23 incident, which was recorded on a handphone by one of the superiors and circulated to other employees via MMS.
"I can accept criticism but the superiors went overboard when they recorded the incident and shared it with others.
"I feel humiliated. They treated me like a schoolboy," the 29-year-old guard said, after lodging a report at the Seri Alam police station on Sunday.
Jalil said he had worked in a government department in Pahang for four years before coming to Johor.
