STOMPer maxsim76 is worried about the defects found at Pinnacle@Duxton along Cantonment Road. However, what irk him more are the security flaws he discovered, which makes the residential complex vulnerable to break-ins and peeping toms.

He said:

"Being one of the proud owners of one of a middle unit in Pinnacle@Duxton, we are all very excited but it is only for a short period when we see defects such as chipped ceramic tiles, chipped off doors that had being badly patched, bedroom doors that cannot be open with all the keys provided, low water pressure, gap between timber skirting and ceramic tiles, and scratchy and rough patches on parquet floorings.

"But all these defects can be rectified by the developer.

"What is worrying is the security flaw that middle units of the 6 units per level are facing.

"Anyone with ill intention can climb through a gap between the grills of the common corridor.

"After climbing through, the person can stand on the aircon ledge that is only protected with a waist-high grill and he can easily climb through the toilet window of the master bedroom if it is left open.

"Of course the toilet window can be shut tight but that is the only ventilation for the toilet.

"If the toilet window is shut tight, we will have unplesant odours, moisture can't escape and mould is bounded to grow.

"Some even suggested putting grills on the toilet windows.

"I personally don't want to live in a 'prison-styled' unit.

"If you have seen the common corridor and windows of a Pinnacle@Duxton, there is really a prison-like feel to it with all the vertical grills.

"Owners should not be the one providing solutions for these flaws.

"I even thought of grills for the aircon ledge but residents are not allow to do anything that will deviate from the unique design.

"Another privacy problem faced by the middle units is that anyone squatting at the common corridor can easily have a full view of the toilet of the unit below if the windows are left open.

"I guess we will have to install ventilation fans, but who will foot the bill?

"Security Flaws in the interior and common area design allow floor easy breaking in and invite peeping toms."

Well, we saw pictures in the Shit Times..1xx, of our venerable old man with Mabrokey, smiling as they tour THE PINNACLE.

Do not know if the old fella bought a unit there, if he did, I am very sure that the security will be so good that, even a house fly cannot climb up...but you pay for an afforable housing, you get affordable, sudsiDIzEd workmanship...what to do?:p

Housing agents in the 'know' already told their friends and families not to touch this pioneer GUINEA PIG project as there are bound to be LOTS OF PROBLEMS.
Now the problems surfaces like low water pressure.

Pay HIGHER price to get more problems.
UNIQUELY SINGAPORE.

Anything good comes from the BLOODSUCKING SCUMS?

The next complaint to STOMP will likely be the amount of human/vehicle traffic during rush hours in morning and evening.

Imagine the squeeze with thousand over units in a small plot of land !!

Paying top dollars to feel squeezed like sardines. But sardines has it for free.

Amonsgt other complaints of which there will be aplenty

Pray that many many people pay five dollars to walk along the corridor to finance the rectifications.:D Better still make it a tourist attraction to walk along the corridors.:D

By the way, how many lifts are there to service the whole beehive? Need any lift upgrading?

funniest thing is if one is driving, come out of the building already jam since city area (may even need 30 mins just to reach shenton way and find parking, whereas 15-20mins walk will suffice), then if working in raffles place, still need to pay ERP...cmon how many will pay $700K to stay in HDB, lastly cannot even squeeze into the MRT? Really only the very rich can stay here...
