Secularism is impossible when there's community

Many people should be able to live their own lives...

no one else should influence others....

but it's impossible to maintain secularism when people need to come together for some common purpose..

for example..

like everyone of us needs to send your kids to school..

if the school teaches gay and lesbians are normal...

it's affecting my kid's Christian education.

so, how do you maintain secularism in such situation?

Christians schools very hard to get in....

they are expensive too!

Dear VIB

The CSE classes are I believe optional. Please do not be like Dr Chin and start condemning his daughter's JC for raising GP discussion notes for homosexuality as an issue. Furthermore you can't stop your kids who are a click away from learning about anal sex, oral sex and homosexuality.

Teach morals at home and in church but what the heck if you want an Anti Gay, Pro Life, Creationist based cirrculum then by all means have a faith based school.

There should only be a problem if the school teaches your kids to be gay right?
What's wrong with saying that gays are "normal"? Shouldn't they be treated like normal people anyway, even if the school doesn't say so?

You have to understand that, being the old hand that you are, that some people encounter and experience more than others, and the bitter comedic irony is, a number of these extra encounters and "experiences", are reasonably classifiable as extreme and unnecessary at all but they still get it anyway because of the natures of their crueler fates that are mostly results of their very own doing in the past if not also the beginning.
