Search underway for man who fell off Penang Bridge​

GEORGE TOWN: A search is underway for a 48-year-old man who fell off the Penang Bridge today.

Northeast police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rozak Muhammad said police received a report on a man who fell of the bridge at Km5.5 about 2.50am.

"Investigations revealed that the man, who is from Bayan Lepas, fell off about 2.15am.

"The search by the Fire and Rescue Department is underway," he said today.

A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said rescuers found a motorcycle that had the man's identification documents on the bridge.
