SINGAPORE: Households that did not submit applications for public transport vouchers meant for needy families, can still do so from next Monday (October 10) till November 11.
The Transport Ministry said this is because there are still 108,000 of the vouchers available.
They can make enquiries or applications at their local community centres/clubs or approach their grassroots leaders for assistance.
Ninety-two thousand households successfully applied for the vouchers in September.
The government, together with public transport operators SBS Transit and SMRT Corporation, set aside S$4 million to fund 200,000 of the vouchers to help needy families cope with the public transport fare adjustment which takes effect on Saturday.
