[h=2]Reckless SBS driver[/h]

Dear TRE,
On 19 Feb 2014 (Wed), I was driving on the main road along Vivo City towards Pasir Panjang Road. My mother was in the car with me.
Just before that short stretch of road that turns rights into Henderson Road, was a traffic light. It turned YELLOW and I immediately slowed down and stopped. Not far from the traffic light, was a bus stop on my left (I was on lane 1) and a SBS bus had stopped there for passengers to board and alight.
However, what happened next was shocking. This SBS bus driver decided to continue its journey and dashed past the RED traffic light (for vehicles), which was concurrently GREEN for pedestrians crossing. It moved for a short distance and then steered to its right to wait for a right turn to Henderson Road.
I was infuriated at that moment because of the reckless and dangerous driving. I even told my mother “Heng” no young children or elderly were crossing the roads. [Ed. "Heng" is Hokkien for "lucky".]
When the traffic light in front of me turned GREEN, I drove forward and stopped at the back of the bus. I read out the bus number, car plate number and time loudly for my mother to write it down on a piece of paper.
Note:(My mother forgot to write the last letter but I checked the internet and it might be SBS 5083D. The Chinese wordings on the paper means “Henderson”)
The details are:
Bus no: 124
License plate: SBS 5083D.
Date & Time: 19/02/2014, Wed, 5.07pm according to my car clock (plus/minus 5 minutes).
Location of incident: Near main road outside Vivo city, towards Pasir Panjang. At the traffic light before turning right to Henderson Road.
Although the details are based on my memory, I am 100% sure that this incident did take place. I strongly urge the Traffic Police and SBS Transit to investigate this matter by checking the video camera footage of SBS 5083D and inform the public of its findings.
