20K new citizens a year, 100K in a GE cycle, approximately 5% of the electorate. as far as me understand, a portion of these folks only have interests in using the red passport as a springboard, some are already clearly aware of how the locals are treated. in short, the minority still stand a good chance

6 million for LHL and the goverment is never a problem as they are not the ne who face the daily problem of transport and living in crowded conditions.

when the day where they become just like anyone else, need to take mrt or bus and have to join long queue, then they will be complaining of that problem themselves.
