Don't know about Shangri La, but JW Marriot is definitely top on my list for least safe
Shangrila? Think twice, especially for a name about a fictitious concept. There is no such think as an indestructable safe and an uncrackable lock. You can call any type of prositute into Shangrila even after midnight, so..................
Only for Shangrila Singapore. The property sits quite a few feet from the road and it is even more secluded for the garden wing. On top of that there are few buildings near to it because of its large plot.
If you want an idea of a safe building go look at US Embassy. Same concept with huge setback from the main road. That way if blast will lose its effect by the time it reached the building proper.
To survive a blast you need to have a small buffer of a space. Next time look at the US Presidential Limo. It is a door within another door. Basically there is the outer armour followed by a space and then the inner armour. This little space allows of the blast energy to dissipate.

Remember the video showing CSJ sister trying to gatecrash into the hotel when foreign heads of state were having a conference there? The security people put her in the right place - she does not look a dime like a female suicide bomber like those in Sri Lanka.
