Safra Jurong's $43m family fun

A WORLD of fun and relaxation in a nature-inspired environment - that is what the new Safra Jurong clubhouse promises national servicemen and their families.

Covering a total of 14,300 sq m, the $43-million clubhouse is also the most expensive Safra club in Singapore.

Located near Boon Lay MRT station, Safra Jurong houses several family-oriented facilities under its theme of "Playground at the Canopy".

Kidz Amaze, a three-storey high playground designed like a vertical maze, boasts an interactive play system suitable for adults and children above three.

It is also reputed to have the tallest foamball arena in Asia and one of the tallest indoor slides in the continent.

Nanny services are available, so that someone can mind the children while parents take some time off for themselves.

Other children-friendly facilities include a kids' swimming pool with interactive water features, such as water-tipping buckets.

Despite being family-oriented, Safra Jurong also caters to the needs of single NSmen, said Mr Edward Leong, chief executive of the Safra National Service Association.

At the clubhouse, karaoke centre K Box and a pool and cybergaming outlet draw a younger crowd.

It will hold an open house next Saturday and Sunday, from 10am to 6pm.
