When we say the Singapore pledge, we must say what we mean, and mean what we say---sounds very logical to so-called elites and second -class citizens !!
Now, what is equality?
There are thousands and thousands of new citizens may not have served NS and yet they proudly call themselves Singaporeans.
We are talking about first-G new citizens and not their second generation having to serve NS.
Becos if let say , 300 K new citizens do not serve NS and yet behaving like local Singaporeans, it is divinely unfair to many older generations who don the sweaty green.
Employers will definitely go for new citizens who don’t serve NS when they need not serve reservist trg.
Many employers may show loyalty to SAF but on the flip side , they have something else .
Alternative parties must voice out this issue during next GE, this is injustice to many locals. This message must be shouted across the nation. We must mean what we say --the pledge!!!!!!!
