Ms Lo Hwei Yen, a 28-year-old Singaporean lawyer who had been taken hostage at a luxury Mumbai hotel, was confirmed dead on Friday night.

Actually, we all don't know whether she was targeted to be killed because she's Singaporean or whether she was killed at random.

the thing is why was she, a woman for that fact, single out to be the one to convey the terrorist message? i believe there are also other guest around of other nationalities and also male for that fact...not unless as some has suggested, the terrorist got wind of little pinky message of support for the india gov and that set them off to target any singkee in there..

if that is true then little pinky has in effect, sealed her fate with the terrorist..

In all fairness, we don't really know why she was one of those killed. Unless the terrorists make a statement that she was singled out to be killed because she's Singaporean & not killed at random, we will never know for sure.

Why the Singapore consulate to inform the Indian authorities? Why not a more powerful and influential country like the USA or UK? Unless Sg was making lots of bravado.
