Please be warned that all companies planning to retrench workers have been "advised" to do so after the CNY.

Don't believe ask around. My friends' companies wanted to retrench quite a substantial amount of workers recently but was "ADVISED" to do so only after CNY.

It seems this "advise" is across the board.

There are many job vacancies at the shipyards. They are getting 6 to 8 months bonus. Not joking.

The best is to retrench them before CNY and retrained them before CNY.

So they can a long meaningful time with family during the holiday season.
