The Maldives in the Indian Ocean is famous for its white sand beaches and turquoise waters. Add more than a few blonde models to that and, voila, you have a perfect holiday. The perfect holiday destination is taking shape in the form of Island of Blondes. The resort will be staffed exclusively by "beautiful blonde women", according to the Lithuanian developer Olialia Group.
Apart from providing holidaymakers with all the standard services, female guests will also be able to make use of an "education centre" which will teach them "how to always be perfect and look great", the Sun reported. The project, which has financial backing from the UK, Russia and Germany, is expected to open in five years' time.
Lithuania-born Giedre Pukiene said she is in negotiations "with the owners of several atolls, who are ready to cooperate in the creation of the Island Of Blondes". "Blondes are a great power that should not be underestimated," she told the Maldives Traveller. "We are smart, beautiful, reckless and purposeful."
The company already operates a number of blonde-themed businesses in the Baltic states of Europe, but it has been criticised for employing only fair-haired women. This is not the first time that a company has tried to attract guests with sexy women, ABC News reported. Las Vegas pools are filled with gorgeous cocktail waitresses and Playboy once had resorts across the United States.
