TLIM spotted this 'curse shrine' near Simpang Bedok, in front of a house there. Shoes, brooms, mirrors with inauspicious Chinese words and other objects believed to bring bad luck had been deliberately placed there by someone.

Here's what the STOMPer wrote in an email today (Oct 14):

"I saw this house while I was walking towards Simpang Bedok for a meal.

"At first I didn't notice anything unusual about it and thought these objects were just trash.

"But then I heard some chanting so I took a closer look and realised the chanting was from a mini-speaker, and that the trash was not just trash but 'dirty' things meant to curse the neighbours.

"There were shoes, brooms, cacti, joss sticks and even mirrors with bad Chinese words written on them placed there."

maybe it's to ward off evil lah.... where it says neighbour? If it is true that this is a curse on the neighbour, we have a worthy successor to the Everitt Road saga.....
