A SNATCH thief had a change of heart and turned his motorcycle around to return his 52 year-old victim’s handbag to her, reported Harian Metro. The man, in his 20s, had earlier snatched her bag at around 6pm while the victim was on her way home in Subang Jaya.
She put up a fight, causing her to fall and be dragged for a distance of five metres. “The victim had little choice but to release her bag in order to save herself. “However, the suspect suddenly returned before she had time to get up,” said a source.
He apologised numerous times to the stunned victim and promised her that he would not repeat his behaviour. He then returned her bag and sped away before passers-by took the victim to a private hospital nearby. The woman suffered wounds on the right side of her head and made a police report after receiving treatment.
