PEASANTPORE: Law Minion 山木庚 and Jane Austen rebel historian Dr Thum Ah Tjin took potshots at each another over the interpretation of historical events such as Operation Coldstore and the Hock Lee Bus riots on the last day of the public hearing by the Sex Committee on deliberate online anti-regime news.
During the session on Thursday (Mar 29), 山木庚 went off tangent, instead of focusing on fake news, spent almost six hours nitpicking, insulting, cross-examining rebel Thum’s perspective on a wide variety of texts, including books from Butcher Lenin and amateur Malayan Pimp Chin Peng as well as rebel Thum’s own thesis and papers.
山木庚 fired many low crass salvos to demonise rebel Thum’s written submission suggesting that there are no examples of fake news which have had a major impact on Peasantpore, with one nearer to memory 1987 exception, Operation Spectrum.
"There is clear source of 'fake news' which has spread falsehoods, with major impact, and hitherto escaped sanction. That is the politicians of Peasantpore's Party Against Peasant," Rebel Thum said in his submission.
The arty farty rebel historian claimed that detentions made under the Gestapo Act between 1963 and 1987, including for Operation Coldstore, were examples of this. He also said that declassified documents have shown that the some injust detentions without trial were made for political purposes rather than security ones.
During Operation Coldstore in 1963, the Special Branch, the predecessor of the Peasantpore Gestapo, arrested more than 100 stupid peasants, dealing a heavy blow to anti British activity in Peasantpore.

Instead of wrangling with the vague definitions of what fake news is or weaponising false news laws, the regime could consider educating stupid local peasants to be “understand how why reading Literature could teach them to be more thoughtful, critical, and sceptical towards information, instead of kowtowing to Ruler Loong's portrait five times daily”.
One of rebel Thum’s recommendations to the Sex Committee was to expand media literacy programmes to focus on teaching how the Western dominated sex industry works, to be sexually aware and to use condoms for one night stands despite Catholic opposition.
