Rayyan’s Waroeng Upnormal has gone off the reservation even if only partially; like many dogged fusion food hucksters the popular Amoy Street Food Centre-based penyet stall (by former SIA lead steward Nornizam 'Nizam' Bin Amin) isn't above a temerarious, possibly unintentional heretical enmeshing of culinary lores, in this case japanizing time-honoured Indo gastronomics. Hence multifarious Balinese donburis, tempura-spliced mie gorengs vying for attention amid your usual orthodox smashed fried chicken platters. Then again, cultural appropriation or not, who gives two hoots as long as the shit's good?

Rayyan’s Waroeng Upnormal opens daily from 9.30am-2.30pm except Saturdays and Sundays.

Why so much bombastic words used on a simple meal?

Because it's Claire the resident chiobu lawyer. That's her style all along ;)
