<style></style>Do they?Or they still maintain their old passports just in case if things does not work out in SG so that they can always run back to their motherlands...How does our ICA makes sure that all new citizens renounce their former nationality.Anyone knows?

That is not the issue. In fact PRC & Indian gahman encourages their nationals to take up foreign citizensships while remaining loyal to their motherlands. The real issue is how loyal are these new citizens to SG?---if they still hold their old passports.

Just become a PR.. same rights as every citizen except voting but who cares.. with PR, they are effectively enjoying dual citizenship.

Nah,that won't do for Ah Tiongs & Ah Nehs.To them SG passport is da prized possession. Also for fucking penoys from the land of the scavenger ..but holding on to their own old passports gives them a lot of leeway to fuck SG and do all sort of illegal activity and run back to their kampong when law chases them.

So do you see the importance of our ICA vetting to ensure that all new citizens had indeed renounced their former nationality.

Can you please elaborate.

I have worked with a few Malaysians....friends..P.R., one had even worked here for more than 30 years, hold a blue IC...retire back to Malaysia...revert back to Malaysian Citizen..use to drive a Malaysian Car to work..till it wasn't allowed..then bought a SINgapore car..commute daily between SINgapore & Johor...everyday..

this is just one case...many of the Malaysian friends I know of, who hold PR...and even took up the Blue IC...never renounced their citizenship...

Yup..true.It was even worse in SAF, I was told.Blue IC holding Malaysian Chinese are most welcomed in SAF whereas local born Mats were treated as untouchables.

Now,these Malaysian Chinese as PR buys HDB and rent it out and stays in another rental room. The net returns is enough to finance a landed bungalow in Matland...meanwhile the prices shoots up for HDB resale because of these Malaysian Chinese.

But these Malaysian PR(s) are not holding a SG passport whereas our new citizens are. That is the bone of my contention.

Hence effectively it is highly plausible that all these fucking new citizens are indeed holding 2 passports. And what has our ICA done about this abuse?
