question about infraction

I just received an infraction for the following,

Reason: Inappropriate Signature / Avatar


But i don't have an avatar and i don't have a signature, but i still can get infraction of 2 pts for that? and by a guest no less.

Some idiot (probably from a competing forum) came in and started messing with the infraction system. He was auto zapped but unfortunately, the infractions were left behind and are now seen as being awarded by "guest" which is what shows up when an account is deleted by the system.

I have now changed the infraction system so that only "Afrescian (S)" can give infractions. "Alfrescian" has to wait a while before gaining infraction awarding status.

This is what makes vbulletin so powerful. It can be customised to combat trouble makers.

Sorry about that. This sort of fine tuning will go on for a couple of months while enemies of the forum try to mess it up and I fiddle with the forum to stop them from doing so while not affecting the genuine users enjoyment of the facilities provided here.

I have a lot of experience from the other forum using the rep system to keep trouble makers at bay.

The infraction system is a new thing that I am trying out here. I do not use it in the other forum so I'm on a learning curve with this one.

This is a perfect example of abuse of the system by certain ppl. Sole purpose is to create mischief. To stem this, i guess just voice it out loud like TS did and the appropriate action will be taken.

"Voice out loud" is the worst possible thing to do.

The best thing to do is to PM me.

Trouble makers love to see the trouble that they have caused. 100 people "voicing out loud" will give them an orgasm.

In the other forum, any message about trouble makers is deleted by me. I'll PM the victims of any trouble maker in private and the issue will be resolved behind the scenes with a bit of script programming. The rest of the members are not even aware of what happened.

The only reason why I'm discussing things here is because the forum is new and many are still unfamiliar with all the facilities and features.

The problem of terrorism in the world could be solved overnight if the news media of the world did not report on any terrorist attacks or at most, gave them a small mention in an insignificant time slot.

Terrorists thrive because their atrocious acts make headline news and prime time viewing all over the world.

The collapse of the twin towers must have been played about 100,000 times in total throughout the world in the 1st 24 hours after Sep 11. Osama must have been really happy. Had he paid for those time slots, it would have cost him more than the total wealth of Bill Gates and Warren Buffet combined.
