Quarrel ends in fatal stabbing
IPOH: A quarrel between two Myanmar nationals ended with one of them being stabbed to death at a factory in Jalan Bercham near here.
The victim, identified as Myo Thu, suffered a stab wound in the chest during the 10.30pm incident on Sunday.
Perak CID chief Datuk Dzuraidi Ibrahim said Myo was having dinner with three friends when a quarrel broke out.
It is learnt that during the quarrel, one of Myo’s friends took out a knife and stabbed him.
“We are in the midst of identifying the suspect and hope to make an arrest soon,” said Dzuraidi.
He added that although police could not find Myo’s passport, the victim had been registered under the 6P amnesty programme.
