Putin's Russian nuclear plans accidentally revealed in television news segment

A Russian TV news station forgot to blur out a top secret document - accidentally leaking a secret plan to bypass Nato's missile shield using NUCLEAR TORPEDOES.

The report was about a conference of army commanders and president Vladimir Putin about Russia's ability to strike if a proposed Nato missile defence shield - which could shoot incoming nukes out of the sky - is implemented.

The document, titled 'Ocean Multipurpose System: Status-6', outlined a nuclear submarine weapons system that could bypass the high tech shield and cause apocalyptic damage to coastal regions.

However, the report may have been linked on purpose as a show of strength by the Kremlin.

Interestingly, other documents in the broadcast are blurred out by the TV station.

The broadcast comes at a time of massive tension between the West and Russia over the Russian presence in the east of Ukraine and the nation's airstrikes supporting Assad in Syria.

Yesterday Putin said that Russia would counter Nato's US-led missile defence with new strike weapons capable of piercing the shield.

However, he added that Russia's military modernisation programme does not mean that the nation intends to engage in a Cold War-style arms race.

Summit: Putin greets top military officials at the conference

Speaking during a meeting with arms industries officials, Mr Putin said that the ongoing military upgrade is a compensation for the years of insufficient funding that followed the Soviet collapse.

He added that "we have no intention to pull into some arms race, let alone try to catch up with or overtake somebody".

Ukraine's military and pro-Russian separatists accused each other on Wednesday of escalating violence in eastern Ukraine in defiance of a ceasefire deal, as Ukraine reported one of its soldiers killed in a direct attack.

The guns have been mostly silent since early September, prompting both sides to extend a pullback of lighter weapons, but an increase in ceasefire violations over the past two weeks has underscored the fragility of the peace process.

The Kremlin has admitted that Russian television accidentally showed secret plans for a nuclear torpedo system on air.

Two Kremlin-controlled channels, NTV and Channel One, showed a military official looking at a confidential document containing drawings and details of a weapons system called Status-6, designed by Rubin, a nuclear submarine construction company based in St Petersburg.

The nuclear torpedoes, to be fired by submarines, would create “zones of extensive radioactive contamination making them unsuitable for military or economic activity for a long period”, says the document, which is clearly visible in the footage for several seconds.

The images were filmed during a meeting of President Vladimir Putin with military officials in the Black Sea city of Sochi on Monday.

The footage was aired on Tuesday and later deleted by the channels, but several websites still published screenshots from it.

“It’s true some secret data got into the shot, therefore it was subsequently deleted,” Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, told journalists.

“In future we will undoubtedly take preventive measures so this does not happen again.”

It remained unclear how the images ended up being broadcast on the tightly controlled channels.

The document was shown at a meeting where Putin warned that “Russia will take necessary retaliatory measures to strengthen the potential of our strategic nuclear forces”

The existence of a new submarine-launched nuclear torpedo was “accidentally” revealed by Russian state-controlled TV on Wednesday, the Kremlin insisting the broadcast should never have been made. In what observers are dismissing as a hackneyed piece of propaganda, the video, which aired on two channels heavily policed by the Kremlin, is being viewed as a deliberate mishap designed to trouble the West.

A document, revealed on NTV and Channel One, was filmed over a general's shoulder during a meeting with Vladimir Putin, and included the details of a weapons system called Status-6. According to the BBC, the system includes nuclear submarines carrying long-range underwater torpedoes to create "extensive zones of radioactive contamination" that would render coastal areas "unsuitable for military, economic, business or other activity for a long time."

Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov admitted on Wednesday that “some secret information was caught by the camera,” which was why the clip was later removed. "We hope this will not happen again," he added.

Oops...

However, the video convinced few security experts. "I have a feeling it was shown in order to scare the world," Alexander Golts, an independent Moscow-based military analyst, told AP. "It's an attempt to offer an asymmetrical answer to the US missile defense."

US politician Rob Bishop was equally suspicious. "I don't think Putin does anything by accident, and that’s what sounds fishy," he reflected. "I think this was leaked for an impact and to try to send a message to the United States."

A nuclear torpedo was first mooted in the 1950s, with nuclear physicist Andrei Sakharov proposing attacking the US by creating radioactive tsunamis to contaminate the enemy’s coastline. Pavel Felgenhauer, an independent military analyst, told AP, the new system is an update on Sakharov’s idea. "The plan is to deliver a 100-megaton nuclear bomb to the US shores," he told the agency. "It would cause a highly radioactive tsunami."

This strategic weapon developed by Beijing will be very useful do deliver nuke to USA!

From China to fire nuke torpedo under Pacific Ocean to USA takes ONLY 100 minutes! PRC Technology Rocks! Pentagon has no hope of defending against this!

USA is far LAGGING Russia & China in deadly military technologies.
