This is Murmansk – a comparatevely young Russian city, the biggest one beyond the Arctic circle. Its territory stretches for twenty kilometers along the Kola bay of the Barents Sea. It is home for approximately 300 thousand people. Some people jokingly call the city “Polar Hollywood”, because Murmansk over the years has often become a filming place. Besides, the Murmansk region is considered to be one of the best locations for north light observance.
On the photos made by blogger Slava Stepanov (aka gelio) Murmansk looks very attractive, but in fact people tend to leave the city searching for a more comfortable place for life.
