Pub brawl turns into murder
KOTA KINABALU: A pub brawl turned into murder when a 22-year-old was stabbed to death in a fight that spilled over to the street at Inanam township here.
The victim, Herman Abdul Rahman, was stabbed in a fight that took place after a quarrel at an entertainment centre at around 1.30am yesterday.
It is believed that Herman was left to fend for himself as his friends fled the scene. The assailants managed to flee the scene before police arrived.
Kota Kinabalu City police chief Asst Comm Ahmad Sofi Zakaria said police were informed at about 1.50am.
He said police have identified the people involved in the fight and are tracking them down.
The body has been sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital here for post-mortem.
