These fking goons just keep undoing all the hard work of the legit fellas like leong and hazel. Maybe ah bock should make all the members go through some kind of PSP BMT first. Keeps happening over and over

Not talking about “protest and go to prison” troublemakers like those from the SDP or People’s Voice. Those are political activists, so in a way they’re job is to, well, play politics lah.

But the Progress Singapore Party really does look like it has a membership problem – the party seems to attract “real” troublemakers.

In the latest, Caleb Joshua Chai Shanmugam (seem with Jan Chan in the picture above) has been charged with the murder of a co-director in his renovation firm Smart Click Services. The firm barely started for a year. RW has been made aware that Caleb is a PSP cadre.

But there’s more to the list.

The most high-profile of the PSP troublemakers is Singapore’s very own Prince of Porn, Andy Wong Ming Jun.

Wong, who has publicly stated that he was helping the PSP and working closely with Hazel Poa to formulate policy in the leadup to GE2020, was one of the ringleaders of Telegram group “Sam’s lots of CB Collection” which contained leaked sexual videos and images of women.

He was caught possessing 4200 obscene photos and videos and fined S$42,000 in April this year after being convicted on charges of possession of obscene materials.

The most imaginative PSP troublemaker award, however, must go to former communications team member Daniel Teo.

“Anonymous” is a group of international hackers known as either freedom fighters or cyber-terrorists, depending on which side of the fence you’re on.

“Anonymous” is a group of international hackers known as either freedom fighters or cyber-terrorists, depending on which side of the fence you’re on.

Teo, likely because he wanted to sabo other PSP members who he wasn’t on good terms with, had the ingenuity in April 2020 to do up a fake “Anonymous” video which accused 7 party members and other members of the opposition of being secret agents sent by the West. Some of those include current Women’s Wing leader Wendy Low and former assistant sec-gen Anthony Lee, as well as then-Singapore People’s Party chairman Jose Raymond.

He was eventually found out, expelled from the party and had to issue a public apology or face a lawsuit from the SPP chairman.

And then there are the low-level hooligans like Jan Chan and Jonathan Soh.

Soh didn’t even bother putting some thought into putting his foot in his mouth. When workers at the Punggol S11 dormitory took to Facebook to complain about their poor living conditions and bad food during the Covid-19 lockdown, Soh thought it would be fun to instigate them to riot at Little India.

And we haven’t even gotten to anti-vaxxer and insulter of the Israelis, Brad Bowyer, and big bully Kala Manickam who has now turned the tables and is suing the party, amongst other troublemakers.

Maybe Dr Tan Cheng Bock has a special charm when it comes to reeling in troublemakers?

Or maybe they just thought that it’s all a game when it comes to the PSP.
