Far East is building a condo next to the bus terminal at Angmo Kio called the Centro.

2 bedroom 872-990 sq ft from $1.05 million
3 bedroom 926-1,206 sq ft from $1.18 million
4 bedroom 1,281 sq ft from $1.5 million

Anyone interested?

the price is crazy, i will rather pay $1.2m +- for a 2 bedder condo in East Coast then to pay $1.05m in AMK. At least in term of location, east coast is so much better

I think the bubble is there. See the URA Index at the URA web-site. A bubble waiting to burst.

Far East is also developing the Altez which is "strategicall located between Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa".

They didn't include any prices so I guess it must be more pricy

Likely all above $2M for a small loft apartment.

Just need to look at how much the developers are bidding for land. You think they will sell lower than their land purchase price + building cost + profit ?

These properties are targeted at dumb owner-occupier locals with cash to burn.

If you buy for investment, what rental market will you be catering to? Rich foreigners won't live in AMK; middle class foreigners won't live in a suburban condo when there are many HDB flats literally next door. The latter group is downgrading from condo living anyway as their expat perks have mostly disappeared.

Any thoughts?

My two cents.

I'm seeing an increasing number of angmos in Bishan & angmo Kio e.g. shopping in NTUC.

Some may decide to splurge on condos rentals because I think they may have problems adjusting to HDB living :D

expensive a not depends on individual.

for some, it's just another peanut.
for others, it's their live savings.
and for more, it's future income.....

if it's for staying put, it's fine. but if most if for rental... then there might be the issue that the supply of places to rent is higher than the demand to rent them.

but looking at the recent cases of illegal sublet/sub-dividing of flats n condo, there seems like quite a bit of demand for rental places.

I agree ,saw some agents are renting HDB with 3 bedrooms in AMK for about $1.8k - $2k. The renatl for for a $1.2m condo may be going for about $3k - $4k the max. If you are the tenant, would you pay $3k-$4k for a condo when a HDB in the vicinity cost only $2k.
