Proof that 'smart city ' will NOT happen in Singapore :

I cannot even do internet banking on my Standard Charted Bank (SCB) account (POSB isn't any better btw): cannot proceed with login because 'SMS network busy': "If you still do not receive your OTP after 20 seconds, please try again later. The SMS network may be experiencing heavy traffic"

If the telcos/ the SMS system cannot be fixed to accept "heavy traffic", it is probable that cashless payment systems would either be exorbitant (too expensive) or ineffective to work at all.
So many problems, i might as well stay at home and only use cash when i go out.
