No reasons were given.

The source said the North-East line has been at a total standstill since 8.30am.

Someone here or at the sammyboy forum, point out the weakness of our public transport system not long ago. Said that if our mrt down, our public transport system is almost shutdown. 'cause many of the bus services had been taken out.

All tv and radio still PROUDLY anounce European airports open when Singapore own MRT line down and no announcements.

CCB. If make announcements people can at least alert friends and relatives not to take mrt. The MRT CEO should be SACKED!

Actually,this driverless trains are still safer than those with drivers. But having worked on these trains before, I know that the hardwares used on these trains and the ones in the signal control rooms are mostly refurbished and not new ones. That might be the problem.

Refurbished? Wow sure or not? Like that say world class system also telling LIES lah.

Refurbished parts plus FT people running the system is a recipe for disaster.

I avoid MRT from now on.

I am very sure as I was the only one who took care of these parts when some of the parts were refurbished in Italy and arrived in SG.

1. since you were there previously, what are the contingency in the event of such "breakdown" on the part of the train operator?
2. what would be the next best thing to do for commuters?
3. are there any sop (standard operating procedure) on breakdown or delay in the smrt?
4. well, since it is some world-class thing!
