Over 2,000 Singaporeans turn up at the open field opposite Khatib MRT in Nee Soon South Constituency to join Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in the New Year countdown and celebration.
The countdown was part of a live concert organized by Nee Soon South CCC which saw residents being entertained by a host of local and overseas artistes such as Eric Ng and Jim Lim of the 12 Lotus fame, Ng Chee Yang, winner of Campus Superstar and Shao Yang from China.
Mr Lee arrived at 11.15pm to the cheers of the watching crowd. He was joined by his fellow MPs, Mrs Lee Bee Wah, Mr Seng Han Tong and Dr Lam Pin Min.
