Singapore President in Tirupathi

Singapore President S R Nathan whose ancestors are Indians and his family arrived to Tirupathi-Tirumala to worship Lord Venkareswara. They were accompanied by their Foreign Affairs Minister Mr Balaji Sada Sivan. Both reached Tiripathi on a Two-Day visit to the temple town.
On his arrival at the Renigunta Airport from Hyderabad by Jet Airways Flight around 1335 hrs, on Thursday, he was received at the airport by Singapore Consulate General in Chennai, Mr Mohammed Noor Bin Yusuf, District Collector V Seshadri, Superintendent of Police (Admin) Mr Ammi Reddy and other officials.
Later, the President and his associates proceeded to Tirumala Hills by road where he offered prayers in the evening.
After overnight halt at Hill Top, the President and his family members would also participate in the Friday morning rituals at the Sri Venkateswara Temple.
